Family Achievement Foundation is excited to be hosting it’s second Parent/Caregiver Retreat! The retreat will offer respite, connection, and resources to caregivers and parents on a challenging journey. The retreat is open to parents (and caregivers) who would benefit from time away while connecting with other caregivers and parents. The retreat will be hosted by foundation founders Sarah Mason and Tom Hoel at their home on the bluffs of the St. Croix River in Hudson, Wisconsin surrounded by natural beauty, walking paths, and peaceful views of the St. Croix River. Tom and Sarah know firsthand the oftentimes chronic stress in caring for children, and are hopeful of creating an informational, fun, and restful weekend away for our parents.
The retreat will offer multiple different experiences, speakers and activities. Retreat cost is $150 dollars and includes all meals. Retreat will offer:
Connection with other parents and caregivers
Educational tools and resources for both your parenting, as well as self-care delivered by trained professionals and business owners.
Breakout sessions with either group time and/or individual time
Social activities including nature walks, gourmet meals and group drumming.
Meals with good food and good laughter
Space is limited for the Parent Retreat. Contact Sarah at [email protected] for more details and to register.
Our spring 2024 retreat brought parents and caregivers together in a peaceful and relaxing setting in Hudson, WI. Here are some images from the weekend. Thank you to the wonderful parents, caregivers, speakers, and volunteers who helped to create a unique and meaningful retreat. The weekend was full of respite care for parents and caregivers, connections, and experts in the field of family and disabilities who offered valuable tools and resources. Attendees also enjoyed massages, nature walks, group drumming lessons, and lots of love and compassion among others on a challenging journey!
